Creating a distinct brand for the design arm of Devblock

Db_studio is the creative identity of Devblock, a design-led branch created to showcase our craft, process, and philosophy. Our goal was to develop a brand that reflects our view of creativity: human at its core, enhanced by AI, while establishing a distinct presence within the larger Devblock ecosystem.

We set out to distinguish our design practice from Devblock’s development work while preserving the shared DNA that connects them. Db_studio needed its own identity—one that embodies human creativity and intelligence in harmony with the parent brand.

Designing a cohesive logo system

The logo lockup expresses the connection between the two brands, showing how design and development coexist within one ecosystem.

We explored how to visually balance creativity and logic—showing that simplicity can feel advanced without feeling cold. The design direction paired geometric precision with human warmth, using neutral palettes for adaptability and typography that conveyed clarity, intelligence, and calm authority.

Crafting our wordmark

Beyond form and precision, the wordmark integrates the numeral one as a quiet nod to excellence and the pursuit of being the best in what we create.

Translating our human-led, AI-enhanced vision into reality

The final identity is minimal, modular, and timeless. Designed to feel human yet enhanced by AI, the Db_studio brand integrates subtle cues of intelligence and adaptability. The logo reflects clarity and structure, while the system’s spacious layouts and responsive motion show how we use AI to elevate creativity without overshadowing it—resulting in a brand that feels intelligent, intentional, and unmistakably human.

Shaping the starting point

We used AI to generate foundational motion studies from basic geometric forms, exploring rhythm, timing, and energy before refining anything by hand.

Experimentation at scale

AI helped us rapidly iterate dozens of motion paths and shape behaviors, letting us compare styles and uncover directions that felt uniquely Db_studio.

Prompting motion AI

We guided AI with precise style prompts to choreograph how shapes flow, stretch, and transform—giving us expressive movement without starting from scratch.

From AI drafts to studio-level polish

After generating a range of AI motion tests, we refined, edited, and enhanced the sequences to match the crafted, intentional feel behind the Db_studio brand.
